It’s clear that the DWP is NEVER going to clear that backlog.
However, failure to process these claims would be maladministration.
In fact, delaying these claims is probably maladministration as well. Is it?
If so, then the DWP should be up the creek no matter which way it’s sailing.
While giving evidence to the Work and Pensions Select Committee yesterday, the Minister for Disabled People, Mike Penning MP admitted over 700,000 disabled people are still waiting for their claims for Employment Support Allowance to be processed (ESA) causing real hardship.
